How to Calculate Employee Turnover Rate
A common formula is departures ÷ average headcount × 100. If 8 people leave and average headcount is 100, the result is 8%. Organizations may define departures, headcount and periods differently; this is general math, not a universal HR policy. Use the employee turnover calculator.
